| Meet
the Full-Time Staff: |
| |
 |
Kevin Mayne
- Executive Director |
|
Kevin, LLYC's fearless leader, also known as
our Executive Director, has a heart that matches
his height. (He is really, really tall.) His
gracious spirit is evident in everything he does
and says.
He has a passion for people, but more
specifically, for people to know Jesus. His desire
is for the Gospel message to be shared with the
campers in such a way that it not only affects
them, but their homes, communities, and eventually
the world!
Summer 2007 will celebrate the Maynes'
9th anniversary with LLYC. Kevin, his
wife, Judi, and their two kiddos, Kaitlin and
Mikey, live in Kerrville during the school year
and move out to camp during the summer. The Maynes
live between Singing Hills and Echo Valley during
the summer, so that Kevin can keep an eye on and
administer the craziness at both camps! Judi is an
Associate Pastor at First United Methodist Church
in Kerrville during the school year and spends the
summer months supporting the ministry of Laity
Lodge. Kaitlin, 16, goes to Tivy High School (Tivy
Fight Never Dies!) and loves to drive her dad's
jacked-up Suburban with the tunes cranked. Mikey,
11, loves people, camp-outs, airsoft guns, and his
rattail. Yes, that's right he has a really long
rattail, which equals . . . really awesome.
As for
Kevin, we like to think his claims to fame before
LLYC were starring in the high school band with
his trombone skills and studying rocks in college.
If you have ever met the Mayne family. . .consider
yourself blessed. They love Jesus, people, and the
ministry of LLYC!!!

Chandler Pruitt - Associate Director
|
"Weird Al?" No, it's Chandler, although
he bears a close resemblance and is just as
talented. The name Chandler brings a smile to MANY
people's faces. Many? You might ask. Many, because
the summer of 2007 will mark his 21st summer with
LLYC.
He may sound old . . . well he is, but he can
dominate any of us running around the track.
Chandler is a graduate of Angelo State University
and Texas Tech University (Get your Guns up!) He
was known for building structures in the
architectural field before he was known for
building up little followers of Jesus in the
camping field.
God has changed many lives through the Pruitt
family. Margo, his sweet wife, loves to love
people and nurse them back to health. She is an RN
at the Sid Peterson Ambulatory Surgical Center in
Kerrville. This summer, she will be the Health
Services Coordinator working closely with the LLYC
Nurses.
They have three precious munchkins: Marshall,
Maggie, and Mollie. Marshall (14) enjoys eating
cookie dough, is a rock 'n' roll star with his
drumming skills, and in his spare time attends
middle school. Maggie (11) loves to run and play
the piano, wants to be a fashion designer, and
never forgets a thing. Mollie (10), also known as
"Kerr County Little Miss," isn't
normally hungry for dinner but is always hungry
for dessert :), and she loves basketball. The two
ladies raise goats and are very gifted in
choreographed dances.
Chandler will be Director of Singing Hills this
summer. After spending time with this precious
family, you will no doubt see their love and
passion for children to know the love of Jesus
Christ. |

 | Trey
Tull, Associate Director |
This summer will be Trey’s 2nd summer at LLYC as
Director over Echo Valley. The Tulls' relationship
with LLYC started in 1995 when Leah (Russell), his
cute wife, was a counselor and girls director at
Echo Valley for two summers.
Trey graduated from A&M (Whoop!) with a degree
in Mechanical Engineering and received a Master of
Arts in Leadership at Denver Seminary. He is also
a graduate of National Outdoor Leadership School .
. . Trey has served many summers at Young Life's
Wilderness Ranch, guiding high schoolers into the
wilderness for weeks at a time.
He best describes his life as being a combination
of "near-death experiences and
most-embarrassing moments." Needless to say .
. . we LOVE his really great stories!
His sweet wife, Leah, will be heading up the Sugar
Shack this summer. She is excited to lead and love
on the girls that work in there, as well as
provide a place to serve all your campers’ sugar
needs. She will make sure to get them all sugared
up before they arrive home, but takes no blame for
the cavities that may arrive also! :)
Trey and Leah have two precious little muffins,
Elli (4) and Claire (almost 1). Elli is a little
lady. There are three things that Elli loves. . .
camp, the color pink, and working in the garage
with her Daddy. Claire might quite possibly be the
most popular person at camp. . . she never has to
walk anywhere. ;)
Trey and Leah are humble servants and empowering
leaders. They desire to build community, and have
a deep, genuine love for people. LLYC is blessed
to have the Tulls. |

Emily Pearson - Registrar |
Emily Pearson, our registrar, LOVES our LLYC
parents and campers. She orchestrates the
registration process, gets to bless campers with
the news of scholarships, and fills camp with as
many campers as possible. She finds great joy in
parent contact and building those relationships
throughout the year.
Emily and her three hairy children (dogs), Dunn,
Heidi, and Conan (who weighs about 1,000 lbs. and
is HUGE) live in Kerrville. Oh wait . . . Emily
has lived in Kerrville her entire life. She
graduated from Tivy High School and Schreiner
College with a B.A. in Psychology. Emily enjoys
spending time with her super nephew, David Tyler,
and sassy niece, Lulu. . . and likes to think that
they both take after their Auntie Em.
;)
We refer to her often as "small child".
. . she has the energy and passion that remind us
of one and most often lives in the moment. She
loves our campers and their parents well and has
deep desire to serve them. Her joy and love for
life is contagious. |

Katie Schrank -
Associate Director |
There is never a dull or QUIET moment when she is
around. Most times, Katie Schrank (sounds like
honk) can be heard way before she is ever seen
(insert LOUD laugh here) . . . the ground shakes
when she laughs; it's definitely contagious. Her
office is strategically placed in the center of
our building for a reason. (Way to go, Kev!)
Katie was born and raised in Midland, TX, moved
to San Marcos to graduate from Texas State (eat 'em
up, Cats!) with a degree in Theatre, and has now
made her way to Kerrville to be a part of the
full-time staff for the last 3-1/2 years. Katie is
most commonly found on Interstate 10 as she
travels back and forth to her home in Boerne and
into San Antonio to be a part of her community at
Oak Hills Church.
This summer will mark the 6th anniversary for
Katie and LLYC. She has served as counselor, work
crew boss, and assistant director at both Echo
Valley and Singing Hills. This summer, she will
serve alongside Trey at Echo Valley.
Katie is passionate about Jesus and people. She
believes in camping ministry and loves being a
part of LLYC. A few things she delights in:
laughing heartily, eating queso, being outside,
guitar hero, getting to watch Jesus change lives. |

 | Diane
Henry - Secretary
Sweet Diane Henry joined the LLYC team almost two
years ago, and what a blessing she has been! She
grew up in Ingram, Texas, and was the Ingram High
School Homecoming Queen and Prom Queen of 1998.
Congrats! ( '98 was a big year.) She has been
known to wear her crowns around the office from
time to time. She attended UTSA and studied
Interior Design, which she uses a lot as secretary
in the LLYC office. :)
Her pride and joy is her precious little
three-year-old tooter, Taylor. Taylor = pink,
sassy, and big blue eyes. She loves to play hard
and always keeps her mommy busy!
Diane works really hard. Such a servant to our
office, always willing to do whatever, she keeps
us organized and fills us with coffee in our
bodies (just for the record she makes it really
strong. Yum!) She is Kevin's right-hand woman . .
. we are SO grateful for her. When you call our
office, she is the cheerful voice on the other
end! Good afternoon, Diane, we love you! |
